New podcast coming soon...

The hipsters sit around Rob's fire place and listen to the wicked beats pouring out from his USB compatible gramaphone player. I jest of course but here in Japan we are missing the luxury of a nice warm open fire place and a kicking sound system to while away the winter blues. Nevertheless, Rob and myself have been keeping ourselves warm scurring about searching the globe for music for the next episode of Music from the other side...

Remember it isn't too late to submit one of your own tunes to us at...

Stay tuned !

p.s. sorry about the buzzing at the end during the wrap-up. we'll do better next time, promise!

Correction: We mentioned that Jerry Gordon organzied "Voice box" but in fact he assures us that it is Charles Billard who should take the credit for that. Sorry ! Also you can read more about Jerry Gordon in this Kansai Scene article.

Show #1

Six new songs via the land of the rising sun (when you're lucky enough to be able to see through the smog!). We kick it off with new recordings by Hayden a.k.a. Quest, Wes and Charles. Then we play an old track by Alex (new for NFTOS), followed by a brand new artist for us named Talbrott (got a link or contact info for him Alex?), and finally we wrap things up with a harebrained idea that I got while watching a video by Noisivelvet which featured the music of DJ Bobo (I'm not sure if we can use this, and we'll be happy to edit it out if we're being naughty). The last track I'd like to call "Fraise on Fez," pun intended! Got anything you think we should hear? Send your .mp3 to either Alex or to Rob with a grapic to go along with it. This podcast was recorded in Tokyo by Alex and Rob, then edited in Kagawa (or where Alex is at the moment). Photo of Tokyo Tower by Alex. Posted by Rob.
